Are all cultures equal?

Some cultures are socialist, some are not. Some value women's freedom, some do not. Some value freedom of speech, some do not. Some value the right to bare arms, some do not. Some value pro choice, some do not. Some value gay rights, some do not.  If they were all equal, they'd be the same. Since they are not the same as I've clearly outlined here, they are not equal.

Yet what I find odd is how some people think it's a bad thing to make the observation that not all cultures are equal when I just pointed out that clearly not all are. It's just a part of the narrative that "all cultures are equal".

But I ask them: Equal in what way? The word "equal" has to first be defined, then put into context. Then we can say whether a culture is equal or not. You can't say if a culture is equal with another without context to define "equality".
