Police protect, don't they? Armed guards protect, don't they? The secret service protects, don't they? Etc. And what's something they utilize that helps them protect? To protect people, they use guns.
They can be trusted to not kill in cold blood. And what’s the difference between them and the millions upon millions of others who also wouldn’t kill in cold blood? Nothing except career choice. Allow those millions of people to have their guns, will ya?
